Vintage
Our trusty Imac suddenly died. Gayle is in a panic as all of her school records, handouts, homework, etc. is on that computer. Our digital picture files and just about everything else is still stored beyond that dark computer screen. I somehow have developed a distrust for all my personal stuff floating in the Cloud. After making my appointment with the Genius's at the Apple store, I was told it was a "Vintage" Mac and that it probably was not worth fixing. It isn't. So my curiosity has compelled me to spend the evening taking it apart to get to the hard drive. At least that was fun.
Our now running joke is that we are not old, but of the Vintage Age. We have become more aware of our age situation since we are now attending Lighthouse Community Church of Torrance with Jeff Tiff and the grandson. We find that there are not a lot of people attending that church of the Vintage age, and it becomes obvious as we try to find common ground. We have become the age of discussing passing of friends, ailments and medications, and the wonder of how the new generation is adjusting to their new role as families.
The goal is to use the Vintage age into something of Value, whether it be in the community, church or with friends.
